Speedbird 287 Heavy

Greetings Folks!

Just wondering if it's possible for friends on this board to locate the crew of Speedbird 287 Heavy on Tuesday, January 1st, 2008?

It was late afternoon; we were heading direct [from Kalispell, Montana] to Fargo at 35,000ft and Heavy Bird [287] flew above us 36,000ft.

SLC Center advised both of us about 'traffic' and cautioned us for 'Wake Turbulence'. I got my camera ready and took a nice shot of Speedbird passing from our left to right en route to SFO.

It brought back the memories of December 26, 1987 when I flew to the US for my flight training on a Speedbird 747 [200] from LHR to SFO.

I'd be happy to email those pictures to the crew.

Cheers & Happy New Year!

Perwazee

Pictures

You bet, I can post here.

I haven't done that before. I will work on it and post it soon.

To tell you the truth, you can find much better pictures on 'airliners.net', but I think the crew of 287 might like the actual picture of the plane they were driving at 36,000' over Montana.

Cheers.

Pics

Hey ATC,

You're cool. Thanks for the info. I will now figure how to attach those two pics. Let me say it again, they arent' as good as those you'd find on the airliners.net, and probably have more value for the pilots who are actually flying the Heavy Bird. I had to pull out my camera - an Olympus D545 Zoom - in a hurry and I found out later it had a portrait setting so the pictures aren't clear as I'd have liked.

Let me see if I can PM you the pictures too.

Thanks for the effort, mate!

P

287 Heavy Pictures over Montana

OK, Speedbird 287 is at FL360 tracking from NE to SW. We were at FL350, tracking from West to East. Sorry, not the greatest clarity in pics, but I will do a better job next time.

OK, I give up.

How do you post pictures here?

I guess I need a 'procedure' for everything.

Thanks,

P
