Wizzair salary and conditions

I'd like to ask about current situation at WizzAir. What is the current salary for F/O? How much F/O takes to home (after tax) in total? What is the bond for TR? How long does it take for LHS upgrade? Does the company provide free tickets for home leave? Any current info is very appreciated.

As it is usually hard to get any financial information amongst pilots, I can at least help you with your last question:

Staff Travel
Concessionary travel for self, family, and six annually nominated travel partners is unlimited and offered across the entire Wizz Air network. Travel is firm and not issued on a standby or sub-load basis.
Commuting
Pilots wishing to commute to a nominated destination on the Wizz Air network may do so free-of-charge.

Checked on the web...

"FO base E20.000 (paid in local currency), they keep 1000E the first 15 months of your salary. 13/Jan/12"

"Additional Duty Pay / Per Diems
FO 30-36 euro/sector. No sector pay during line training
14/Jul/10"

"Conditions
Roster 6/4 or 6/1/6/7 or "free roster" with 6 consecutive days OFF per month. 6/Dec/11
Leave 2 days a month, 24 per annum 11/May/08
Staff travel 30 euro per leg as employee, 40 euro for max 5 companions. 6/Dec/11"

ROSCO328 26th Feb 2012 17:46

Probably not. Heard the pay is rubbish even for captains.

OXOGEKAS340 26th Feb 2012 22:09

are u saying E for EURO'S?

busav8r 27th Feb 2012 17:29

There is also opportunities to have an internal job within the company, where you can work on your standby and available days off!
Not all is bad as it seems? Working on days off to make some more money to be able to survive? Holy Jesus... :ugh:

A couple Captain friends left the company some time ago because the salary and the management was a complete rubbish.

Mike Lima 2nd Mar 2012 15:34

so how much money can a senior first officer expect when he starts with wizzair and has a a320 rating and based in poland?

Madp1lot 2nd Mar 2012 15:53

from my math... 3100€/month net (average 3 sectors/day, 18days/month, 19% tax, no bonus, no holidays). Not counting those 1000€ on the first 15 months (don't know if its still like this or not).

A320baby 3rd Mar 2012 06:43

you get around 20 holiday days per year

apartment in Wroclaw

mate, first of all... good luck trying to find a flat there :P

Wroclaw's the biggest student's city in Pl, and one of the fastest growing cities in the country as well, so getting a flat is no easy thing, you can try to rent something meant for tourists/short-stays in websites like:

or... you can try these local sites, all in Polish, but you'll find better options for you, since they're meant for local students and workers:
- stancje.dlastudenta.pl
- wroclaw.gumtree.pl
- wroclaw.nieruchomosci-online.pl
- do a google search with "mieszkanie do wynajęcia wrocław"

small (rather big) advice:
- DON'T check flats in "Huby" zone (just south of city center, east of University of Economics)... not a nice place :uhoh:

Try to get some local (and trustworthy help) if you can. If not, and you'll find yourself in some trouble trying to get accommodation, pm me, I can help you out since my wife's from there ;)

Mike Lima 8th Mar 2012 11:30

thank you!

my calculation:
25.000 euro
+ 15.000 euro (sector pay --> 500 sectors x 30 euro)
+ 2000 euro (sector pay bonus)
-----------------
42000 euro : 12 = 3500 euro
- 22% tax = 2730 euro net

not so much :/

Madp1lot 8th Mar 2012 13:04

check the tax applied... I think its less (http://www.taxrates.cc/html/poland-tax-rates.html)

with 2730€/month in Poland... you'll live like a king mate! :)

Narrow Runway 8th Mar 2012 16:18

500 sectors in Wroclaw is WILDLY over optimistic based on history.

You will be lucky to fly 330 sectors a year in that base, very likely far less.

So, your calculation needs reworking!

Narrow Runway 8th Mar 2012 19:31

I'm not sure about that anymore. It wasn't in mine and I spent 2 years there.

Old contracts for sure it was. But I'm not 100% sure it is in current joiner contracts?

I stand to be corrected if it is.

However, even with 400 sectors, you won't make 500 in WRO. Guaranteed.

A Flat in Wroclaw

Re posts from Mike Lima and Madp1lot - looking for a flat in Wrocław

Hi Gents
Can I help? I'm a PPL (as far as my credentials are concerned) and I have a flat in the very center of Wroclaw. Just about 100 m from the main square. Just renovated, half furnished (working on it). I'm looking for a reliable tenant. If you're interested please contact me for an appointment. I speak English, Dutch, German and Polish.
