Air India Express Laying off expats

I has been confirmed that AIE since it is overstaffed with Indian pilots , they had let go the expats with or without resignation notice as to not pay a retention bonus since the salary is 9700 and the pilot receives 8700 on the promise to pay the 12000 upon a year completed year contract . They are planning to hire again on december probably on the same lies , just to warn everybody. No health insurance , no family travel tickets all which were promises never met good business for the agency and management.

Would not have expected anything from them . Other carriers from the same region have done exactly that to expats.

Surely you are not suggesting 'breach of contract' and nobody is batting an eyelid against it? Surely not? Are these ex-pats em[loyed via an agency or directly. If via an agency then surely their contact is with them and they should be responsible for any breach by their customer? The pilot is an innocent victim.

If same setup as Jet Airways the agency may source the pilot/get all the paperwork together etc, if the pilot is accepted the agency get a one-of payment and the pilot then deals directly with the company for all matters.

In other places (Japan for example) agency remains in place the whole contract, primarily for channeling pay etc but also the "go to" for any questions or disagreements.

Cheers.
