Basic about £21000. All sorts of increments for turbine hours, type rating completion, 6 months service increments, duty pay at £1.20 hr (I think) but that has to cover food etc while away. So in short, about £25000 to £30000pa depending on your experience. Saab and ATR pilots get higher increments than J41 crew. Jet pilots more again.
Can't imagine being bonded for 5 years for a fairly useless J41 rating... It's pretty damn long for any type even.
Edit: Sorry, did not mean to imply it was incorrect info, just surprised and wondering who the takers are for that long a bond.

Hi All
Im hoping to get some info from a current Eastern Pilot re salaries and basing.
How much could I expect to earn with EA on the Emb 145. I am rated with 500hrs on type and 2500 total time (1700 B200)
Do they still have Emb crews based at Chester would a base there be possible form the off?
Thanks

Its irrelevant where you are based, you will tour the network and have no home life. Pay will be as bad as the way you are treated. Which is akin to being drugged up and forced into prostitution. oh, and the company mission statement is 'work sets you free'. Chester is nice though.

Thanks for your reply.
At the moment I’m just trying to gather information. Touring the network wouldn’t necessarily bother me. The reason I was interested in a Chester base is because I live in the northwest.
Obviously I’d be hoping to stay on the embraer, not sure it take the job I’d they asked me to go on to another type.
Are days off protected and on average does anyone know how many they get a month?

Believe me, when your week is spent touring the network and weekends are entirely spent washing and ironing in preparation for doing it all again the following week, it WILL bother you!
Nothing on any part of the roster at EA is protected, your 8 days off generally don't change but you will often be contacted to ask you to swap your days off. Standbys are always used. If they didn't treat their staff so badly then they'd have enough crew to service the roster but that hasn't been the case for several years; most of the time the roster is released with tens of flights not covered.

Friend of mine works for them, says it's an absolute shambles and they get paid peanuts for woking their backsides off. Lots leaving due to financial uncertainty too and can't hack the nonsense anymore. Much better gigs out there
