Transavia Germany
We are currently seeking experienced B737NG Captains for a permanent contract with our client Transavia to be based in Munich.
Posted by Parc Aviation. Contact Eoin Field.
I wonder what the deal will be on offer, but I suspect it might be very attractive to certain German 'self-employed' contractors. Lovely region with a great quality of life. Wish I was younger.

Its part of the new 'Transavia Europe' on top of France and Holland.
All FO's are Dutch nationals, theyre looking for captains now. Also rumors of a Porto base to come

safelife: exactly my point. There will be those on some shady, not very financially rewarding, tax dodgy, inconvenient life-style contract who would jump at a proper full-time respectable employee contract with proper benefits. I assume they will offer something akin to the host base deal. Munich is not the middle of nowhere and a sensible package will be required to attract career minded quality crews.

They offer basically a transavia NL contract -20% and minus some of the benefits the NL based crews have, like, pre-retirement arangements (they work less days/hours from 50 onwards for full pay .
The base pay is however based on hours per month
the minimum is around Transavia NL -20% guaranteed, even if you fly 0 hours
If you go over 75 in summer or 65hrs in winter you will receive 1% on top of the basepay per hour So flying 95 hours in summer months will get you up to 100% Transavia NL pay

In NL captain base is from €6000- to €14000 p/m depending on years in company
so i guess as new direct entry captain you get entry level = €5000,-
thats pre-tax then and also without pension which would be extra (as it is in NL) etc but details i do not know.
The nl crew got change to go with priority but only few responded, and then only those who could in this way make a quicker promotion. And further an offer was made to Martinair crew to go, as they are shrinking and need to lay-off crew.

Are you suggesting that even the young son of KLM has joined those who depress T's & C's. The thinking that a jet captain in Munich is worth 20% less than a colleague doing the same job in Amsterdam is disappointing. Inevitable, perhaps, but disappointing nevertheless.

You would be surprised, horses for courses and all that. Perhaps some one who wants to come "Home" may be better off, no commuting and no rent for where ever they may be at present? So saying, the difference is still shocking to say the least. 😟

Dont know what it is about Dutch F/O's but the circles I fly in the general reaction to that is O good god he's Dutch.
As for the pay...... Suppose its ok... Its not going to be enough to attract me though....

5000€ BEFORE tax and social deductions is very weak indeed. And Munich/Bavaria is one of the most expensive regions in Germany. You need to live with Mom and Paps or somewhere in the middle of nowhere on that, especially with a family.
Always though my employer is cheap and greedy, but even they beat this offer. Should be hard to find this DEC's.
Sad how salaries in this responsible profession went downhill over the past 20 years. And then people wonder why so many run to the ME carriers...

#flyhigh: All training paid by the company, including hotel/transportation and/or daily allowance. You will have to sign a bond contract, but no bank guarantees etc required.
