A320 PrivatAir Recruitment
Hey guys,
I heard Privatair is heavily recruiting for A320 rated Pilots.
Anybody has more information about it?
Thought they only have 737/757/767.
I am very interested as I always wanted to join them but had the "wrong" rating... till maybe now,

Hi Chriss,
True they are recruiting a lot but only contractors for Saudi ops and conditions are well well below any standards and for sure below Middle East standards
I really doubt is still the company that triggered your interest
A lot has changed recently and maybe it is for the best maybe not but lots have left the company in the last 18 months. Joining now is a big gamble...

Ok, thanks for the little update.
I heard also it was for a project in Saudi Arabia, but I also heard, the Terms were more or less the same as FLYNAS, which are quite impressive.
I see it only as an entrance into Privatair. Donīt want to live forever in Saudi, but if there is a prospect to change for a European base I wouldīt mind.
I should get an update tomorrow about the Terms, so lets see..
Still very interested!

So, just got some updates now regarding the contract.
To be honest, it doesnīt look that bad I have to say.
13000USD+
Per diems+
Housing (House for 2 Adults and 2 kids = around 2000USD)
Staff Travel
42 VAC days.
EUROPEAN company!
All together we talk about more then 150000USD a month, so I wouldnīt call that below standard at all.
There is also a commutable roster available, but for that I didīt got the T&Cs.
For me the interesting point would be to still work for a european carrier and maybe/hopefully at some point can move to a different base.
Just my opinion though...

If any one is thinking of joining this operation perhaps think twice.
They sell it well but the reality does not match the fiction.
Operation is chaotic at best. Many cancelled flights due to low or zero pax loads.
Few spares and many faults. One of the 3 Aircraft has had no working APU in over 4 months!!
Accommodation is not as per contract i.e. You must share and there is no privacy! Riyad compound is some 1 hours drive to airport and journey does not count as duty time. Very remote location and expensive to get into city. Jeddah compound some 30 minutes from airport but quite noisy but with more local facilities i.e. a mall very close by.
Travel home is not business class and often is standby travel with the cheapest possible way home!
The salary is well below the average for the region.
The one positive thing if you opt for it is the 20 on 10 off Roster, but it will cost you 1/3rd salary.......

No response after one month
One month after selection process in Amsterdam no reply at all. They promised to return travel expenses till 250, also still waiting for the money....Privatair seems to be a serious company....well not for me, sorry.
FCI contractor the same, lack of information and no clue about what's going on with Privatair.

They constantly recruit to airbus fleet as Saudi Arabia is not a very nice place if you need to spend all your duty days there and on top of that they are offering crap pay and terms and conditions. Read somewhere that at least cinema is coming back to KSA, always something.
I appears, as always, that Contractair graps a solid piece of the cake for themselves (for all their incompetent recruiting!). Another example of what a pain in the butt these agencies really are. I hope pilots will avoid them all together.
