Embraer 170/190 or B737-400 F/O?
Hello,
I donīt know what to do. I have been offered to fly the Embraer 170 and 190 as a First Officer or I can continue flying the B737-400 also as a FO. What would you do? Where do you see more future?
Thanks in advance.

Are you considering LOT? Which pays better? Boeing 737 time is always valued and you can parlay it elsewhere if you need to find an expat job - lots of Boeing jobs out there. Ideally I would go for the fleet type offering more money and a better schedule if there is a difference at your airline.

I am an embraer pilot with over 6000 hours on it. It doesn't open many doors I can tell you that.
Go for the 737!! Really, if there is one thing I learned is that the type in your licence is worth its weight in gold if you got the "proper" TR.
It doesn't matter how many hours you have on your licence as long as you have a 737 or A319 on it you are in!
Good luck with your decision.

You could always keep your 737 rating current once a year in the sim and then have the E jet rating as a permanent job over the 2 summers on the 73. Just a thought. Definitely one for personal circumstance!
