Development in aviation is in many areas out of control!
Ministry of Labor and duty time regulations (EU-ops/sub-q) for flying crewmen lacks scientific anchorage, and is driven by economic motivated sustained lobbying. Cabin crew and pilots is driven quite from normal predictability, and influence over business and pleasure, and can be within the rules set up to handle the most demanding and critical situations after having been awake for close to a day.
Laws, regulations, and audit bypassed through fractured company structures, creative hiring modell and flag of convenience.
Basic human rights is put to the side, and decennier with refined safety culture will be replaced with a fear culture, coarse utilization, work contracts without rights.
Combined with lack of European co-ordination and game glitches, this affects both the competition and safety. Past experience has shown that this is a combination that can result in fatal consequences.
This must be brought under control!
Norwegian aviation regulations must be crisp, clear and responsible, and practiced through regulation and supervision. Norwegian authorities must take an active role and contribute to a responsible and coordinated European aviation policy. Healthy and appropriate competition requires clear rules and a magisterial rule.
We must send out a common warning!
We strongly urge others, therefore strongly recommend all flying crew (cabin crew and pilots), from all companies operating in Norway, to meet at Løvebakken outside Parliament on Tuesday 16 December at 1100,
where we will stand together, shoulder to shoulder, and make our concern known for norwegian political decision makers. To get more power, as well as to show that we are employees from all Norwegian companies, we want to ensure that all set in uniform. We have wrapped up a Christmas present to all a studio near Stortings plass*representatives who, together with a boarding call and a call to action will be handed over to the politicians. We focus on wide medial coverage.
