Aegean Airlines selection

Is anyone heading down, or up, to Athens this month for F/O selections with Aegean via Parc Aviation? Info regarding their selection process is much appreciated!

Don't worry about the process! That will be the last of your worries there.
Just basic stuff.....they are in need of contractors for the summer, but don't be expecting a friendly environment as you will be raking in more than a captain makes there. Long hours, a lot of dead heading and duty time sitting around waiting with no pay for that. But hey enjoy the sun and everything will be great!
Enjoy and Good luck!

Why would anyone want to work for a Greek airline? Seriously? In this economic climate?

Good luck and god speed if you do!

Cause nowadays, the aviation industry is full of desperate people with a new license and fresh type rating, doing virtually anything to get a rung upwards in the ladder..

Your own nationals would go to Uganda and Indonesia to build up some SEP hours there. Can't find a reason why they wouldn't go to Greece!

Latetonite,

Aegean do not take freshly rated guys/gals with no other experience. .

very few pilots inexperienced have made the cut with less than 1000 hours on the bus.Their selection is pretty straight forward but this year they had a fail rate of 75% in the simulator for captains.if you dont have minimum 500 hours on the airbus dont bother applying.the airline is desperate for pilots especially for f/os but not so desperate. They keep high standards year round.they have a very good safety record and dont want to risk that

Thanks. I received a nice PM from someone with regards to Aegean. Fact is, with so many rated experienced guys out there, my chances/expectations are somewhat realistic. My limited TP time is all single pilot as well, which doesn't help. Don't really have any connections either.

edited to add that I'm 42 soon, so another factor to consider before contemplating an A320TR.
