I am applying for Qatar: I flew the b737, a320/1 and a310 as a f/0. Last 12 years I've been flying as PIC in aircrafts mtow 48 ton (g550 and Global). Am I going to expect an f/0 position, or A320 pic?
Can anyone who is working there tell me what to expect if joining the company?
I've heard from a few fast jet jockeys, who are putting applications in, that the time to captaincy is swift... Obviously a different situation to yours, but I guess their expansion plans would leave them screaming for captains? (and I'm guessing you'd be in a comparatively better situation at the application stage)
With that experience, are you sure either would be a wise decision?
G550 Captains are a sought-after commodity, and will continue to be so. Contract positions are very lucrative. I'm sure you know all this, but it is an interesting consideration.
Ps, I think you will be in the running for th PIC position, from the tales of others.
