Angel Left Seat Sought

Hello all- I have been flying for years with lost opportunities to upgrade, due layoffs, airline insolvency, or reorganization. I am over 45 with ATPL both ICAO and FAA, and typed in the A320 and B727 with more than 8,000 hours total, 4,000 in A320 and 2,000 in B727. No PIC time in either aircraft except PIC under supervision in A320, loggable under ICAO rules once typed and is sole manipulator of the controls, though I did not sign the logbook under these hours. Only PIC is non-jet, a little over 1,000 hrs. Any suggestions on direction at my stage? I think I should be looking for a company with direct entry opportunity or at least a company with an aggressive upgrade program. Not aware of any. Overseas is an option, if such opportunity exists.

Sorry to say but I wouldn't have thought you would be able to jump straight into the left seat in a new company without having any PIC time in a jet as a company would want you to work for some time in the company to prove yourself to them, might be wrong but wish you the best of luck.

AirAsia in Malaysia are taking FO's as DEC's.
Also Wizair, could be offering an accelerated command.

Same situation

Hi, I was in the same situation some years ago, left for the UK on a fast track upgrade deal and got my command after 11 months in my midt forties, depending on 2 standard or better sims in a row to be accepted for the upgrade.

Overseas is your ONLY option. Where in the states would you be able to jump seniority and start left seat in a jet with no jet PIC time?

Try Emirates. Sounds like you meet the qualifications for the right seat. From there it will be a natural progression to the left seat.
