Already am a captain so thats not my concern. I certainly wont come on here promoting this contract like some of you!! You should be remembering your collegues sitting next to you who are being screwed over not only by the company but also the people out there who are willing to work for pennys just so they can join Ezy.

ROSCO

I'm not promoting or defending the contract.

Merely, I'm pointing out that things are fast turning worse in your company, and that your argument of "easyJet pilots in easyJet airplanes" doesn't stand up.

What you need to ask yourself is how did such a situation come to exist in your airline?

Thankfully I have never had to ask myself any question on this topic as I have never used any vote made available to me to approve any contract/flexi/temp position on an Ezy aircraft.

How did we get here?. We are dealing with a very cunning creature who is not stupid and will go to any lengths to destroy our T & C's. This in turn makes it very difficult for unions to combat.

@ECAM SURPRISE

The advert I read said it was a "direct placement with easyJet".

So, no, it didn't read like a one year contract.

That was my reference to "pilots for aeroplanes".

Divide and conquer tactics all round. Very clever.

salary of a captain in lisbon

question about the money for a captain

7800 gross salary
11% social security
New taxes of portugal due crisis= 2,5% + 3,5= 6%
IRS= 39,5%
total = 11+6+40=57%........ so divide the gross by 2

last year the perdiem where almos free taxes this year 2013 not anymore

do your calculations........

14 salaries but only the basic which is 5500 gross.......

LIS

Hi mate,
I think from these response it is no secret that the new easyJet contract in AMS, LIS, OPO, BCN are seriously worse, hence no EZY FO/CPT on a permanent contract is willing to accept it. It will take ages until you can bid out for better bases with FRV and EASA coming.

A lot of information is posted here already, so I think just have to read all pages trough. Read also carefully your contract
