Information about Aegean Airways

I have an interview for Aegean Airways in Athens next month as F/O. Would appreciate any details from an insider. Checking ppjn, the salary seems to be very low (25.000,- Euros gross/year), is this correct?
What is the monthly salary after tax?

Any details about roster, off days, working environment,ID-tickets?
Any nightstops out of Athens?

Is it a good company?

Appreciate any help

Aegean have been racking up awards the last few years. They are rapidly expanding throughout Europe, and are known in southern europe for their young fleet. Credit Crunch has only caused 4% loss in revenue this year due to fuel costs.

Which aircraft would you be hired onto? Do they hire onto the A320, or is it the 737 or Avro? Cheers.

NIK,
aegean is hiring right now and all new company pilots are gonna type rated on A320..if u already have a 320 rating, you'll maybe not have problems but one of hiring requirements is to speak greek fluently..just consider that before processing despite the fact that many foreign captains and F/Os(German and British) flying for Aegean..

hope you the best
cheers

Hello,

@Tolisshow, I know that you have to speak fluent greek, but I am greek and I think it should be no issue. I ´m more interested to know if the company provides you with any accomodation at the beginning and what it is the average salaray for an FO with 60 or 70 hours a minth?

Greetings

As far as the salary is conserned,K2's are paid approx 3500 with bonus, extra flights rewards included and K1s 5000-6000 according to the years..obviously,the salaries are quite poor but aegean's guys hire "fresh" pilots (22-30 yrs) who maybe have just finished fatpl and train them to fly brand new a/cs(a320,a321)..not so bad

kali epitixia
cheers

tolisshow where did you find this information????

My best friend is an FO with A3 (aegean). After 3.5 years his net salary is approximately 2,400 with 75-85 hours per month. No bonus no rewards exist!
The company recently gave a raise of 300euros gross to all FOs (K2).

Yet nobody has mentioned the most important requirement: Fluent Greek. Least this is what I was told.

I have been invited for the selections as well on 22 June '09.

The latest information I have heard about salary is 1800€/month after tax.
There is no extra or bonus applied to this amount of money.
After one year of F/O, it goes to 1900€ etc...

From another source I heard F/O's with Aegean Airlines would get an increase in lone to 2300€/month year, since they raise the hours per month. Whether this is true or not, I don't know.

But I would actually like to have an exact amount (and true amount) of money the F/O's earn today with Aegean. Anybody?

Greetings
