Would it be possible to explain clearly who you are, what your interest is and if you have actual experience with jet airway to reveal it. It would make your posts more useful. I have been asked to interview for one of the 737 slots and they sent me a coach seat to bom. I dont think thats going to happen.

regards

To all contributors of this thread ,I suppose the events that have occurred in the past week must have answered a lot of questions.NightLife, Bravo on the right call!
While I would agree a fair percentage of Jet's travails might be related to the global downturn, I would also say the mgmt's ineptitude in cost control during the boom period has also added to the pain. For ten years Jet's only competition were indian airlines and sahara in the early years both equally inefficient .Now we bleed domestically from internal competition and are attempting to expand internationally in a shrinking market against stalwarts like SQ or EK.
Jet suffers from a dearth of truly professional managers.

I watched the CEO of Jet on TV late the other night announcing the uturn. It was an oscar winning performance in anyones language, at least
until the truth came out.
