While I would agree a fair percentage of Jet's travails might be related to the global downturn, I would also say the mgmt's ineptitude in cost control during the boom period has also added to the pain.For ten years Jet's only competition were indian airlines and sahara in the early years both equally inefficient

.Now we bleed domestically from internal competition and are attempting to expand internationally in a shrinking market against stalwarts like SQ or EK.
Jet suffers from a dearth of truly professional managers.
