Contract With Cityjet 140,000 Euros Per Year No Tax
Apparently Cityjet Are Taking Direct Entry Captains Through Pas Avaition, Who Pay Via Offshore Accounts Giving Approx 140,000 Euros Per Year Take Home. Just Wondered If Any Permanent Crew Were Aware Of This????????

if the contract is offshore, it means it's up to you to pay for the taxes in your country (where you spend 183 days+ per year), so that's a gross salary you are speaking about, isn't it ?

Spoke with PAS today. They are revamping their entire website and registration which is why the vacancies are not viewable. Should be done in next week or so apparently.
Also, jpletellier is only just 'slightly` out with the figures mentioned, more like 85,000 Euros, rather than 140,000..... I wish!!!!!!

That's what I figured. Since he never responded to the query I assumed he was just a small person stirring the pot with no better goal than to upset a few people. If it hasn't already that attitude will eventually bite him in the arse.
Not all for nothing though. He did get me digging around a bit earlier than I otherwise would have. There are some very good offers out there for a guy with a few hours under his belt. I like choices!

140,000 euros is no lie thank you very much!! PAS will so everything possible to help you evade tax. Non-French pilots with PAS are taking home over 12,000 euros per month, when you sign up you are recommended to open a swiss bank account and your contract will show no basing so the tax office cannot catch up with you. I would not publish lies.

jpletellier: Normally if you want to open up a Swiss bank account they want a deposit. I have been told by several banks there, that the deposit I had to come up with to get the account was 50.000 Swiss Frank. How do you get around that one ??

I can't believe this is still going on. If you live anywhere in the EU, or most other countries in the world for that matter, not paying income tax is illegal and will be severely punished if you get caught. Depending of the amount we are talking about you could find yourself in jail.
A swiss bank account has nothing to do with it! Neither does the base mentioned (or not) in your contract.
If you are a resident in a country it is your responsibility to report your worldwide (!) income to your tax authorities.
If you don't, someone is going to find out sooner or later! Authorities are gonna start wondering how come you have a house and two cars but yet no income...
A lot of peole will know what you are doing for a living (family, "friends", colleagues). All it takes is to upset one person that knows and reports you to the tax man.
Do you really want to hide from him for the rest of your life and be afraid to answer the door everytime the bell rings unexpected...
Make no mistake: What you are suggesting is illegal, unless you really live in one of the few countries with no income tax.

Therefore, it is very hard for the tax man to prove that have an income. Even harder if you are intelligent about the way you use the money.
It may not be legal/moral/fair, but it IS effective, which is why it still goes on.

The father of Steffi Graf went to jail because he "managed" her income and tried to cheat.
A German tax lawyers office specialising in the field of "tax evasion for flight crew" found his offices searched by the authorities because the tax man found it unlikely that all these Lufthansa pilots actually shared one apartment in Dubai etc....

I agree, why would you take the permanent role when you can contract, and earn 140,000, the mugs are the permanent staff, and the contractors are laughing and raking all the cash!!

With regard to a new DEC who has been offered the 70k Euro deal, can he/she expect (with duty pay etc) to net about £4000 pounds per month? Can someone who operates out of LCY shed some light?
