Well, the pay structure is on the very low side if you are employed for the Austrian operation. There is a group of Swiss pilots (former Swisswings), who managed to found their own pilot leasing company in order to get employed by Air Alps because they insisted on a higher pay due to the living costs in Switzerland (F/O get's approximately CHF 4'000 brutto). Still not much for a living.
They searched crews for their Parma operation, but it was very hard to find pilots from Italy itself, since they where not delighted with the offered salary (understandable). Now i heard that something is going on with their Vienna operation (many low costs jumped on an AAA route) and they gonna relocate some crews to Parma.
All in all, there are some very nice people there and it seems to be a good operation, but the management keeps costs on the very low side (no food for crews anymore, except fruits

, very long trips of up to 14 hrs (especially Parma), proceeding usually with the train down to Italy.
Hope to give you some insight.
