Possibly yes this winter, but likely to be through the CTC ATP scheme.

I hear from a reliable source that :

All pilots on career breaks to be considered first,

then those pilot´s who left voluntarily last year to be spoken to next,

then perhaps there may be external recruitment.

Up to 10 external spots maybe....

As expedite says though, i imagine they will use CTC for low hours guys, because TCUK have a lot of experience in the airline now.

Expedite:

Yes, i hope to return, as per the deal laid out to me last year.

Turbine1:

Cheers, will be nice to be back "home" as I feel TC is.

Diplomat:

Thanks for the heads up. I have heard the stories, but if you would rather swap for my position of grotty crew rooms in the middle of the night in strange places..... then feel free! The grass is not always greener on the other side! There is no comparison between the luxury of TC and the place where a lot of us went with no options......

Tailscrape if you thought TCX was "luxury" God help you!! I have never been happier since leaving, and given the stories of "crewing" or lack of it this summer, I'm glad I did. Good luck to those who join hope they sort it out soon, but don't hold your breath.

eff oh,

Well, all I can say is this:

It was always better in TC IMHO than sitting in a grotty, smoky and cold crew room at 0400z in CGN,VIT,BRU,CPH or EMA.

As far as i recall, we got food (of sorts) in TC, and we had birds to chat to as well. And nice new aircraft.

If you have left GLA, I can only assume that you are the gentleman who has left to join a nice corporate job or are virtually running a nice regional airline.

Either of which are very nice jobs...... compare that to night freight! Or, perhaps you came freighting too? In which case I will slap you in the face to test your senses next time I see you hunting for a day old sandwich in one of the aforementioned pleasure palaces....sorry, I mean grotty "crew" rooms.

tailscrape,

“The gentleman who has left to join a nice corporate job” is staying out of this thank you very much.

I had four years at TC and thought it was a good place to work with great crack.

Although I am working in fur-lined luxury at the moment, this place also has its problems.

I may well be back at TC in the Future (distant).

Kind regards,

Big Friendly…
