A320 Hydraulic

Can someone please tell me why the Blue Electric Pump in the A320 is guarded?

That's a good question, I've wondered that myself. It's not like you'll do any irreversible damage by pressing it inadvertently.

Have a look at where it is on the panel and what it might get mistaken for (Hint: think go juice).

Its the hydraulic system of last resort. If you have lost G and Y you want to be very sure that you want to turn the Blue system off.

It is because it will cause failure of a hydraulic system and loss of some services. Therefore only blue is guarded. Other two hydraulic system support each other through PTU.
