A320 Managed range requirements

With airbus, you should be at a certain range, distance/angle to be in managed mode.

1) What are the requirements to be in managed mode? (Distance? Angle?...)

2) Our FD shows us the attitude you should have to respect what is entered in the FCU. So let's say that your HDG window on the FCU is in managed mode ( ---) and our A/P is OFF. So we are flying manually and the FD bars are showing the attitude the plane should have to fly as If you were in managed mode. But what happens If I exit the manage range? Will the FD bars still keep showing how to go back to managed mode? Or will the FCU revert to HDG mode and will show us our last heading before going to HDG mode? (so It would mean that FD is showing how to go towards that heading.)

Thanks a lot
