Cessna 182C trim

Hi everyone,

I currently fly a 1960 Cessna 182 and the elevator trim doesn't have an aerodynamic trim tab on it, I think it must be a spring type or something?

Just wondering if anyone has any information on what type it is and if it would still function in case of a control cable failure.

Thank you

Trimmable horizontal stabilizer.

So a disconnected or broken elevator cable would not prevent the trim from being operable.
