operating SLATS on a 737

How do you operate slats on a 737. Is it done automatically depending on which flap selection you chose or is there another way

thanks in advance

On the NG

Speaking for the NG

With the selection of Flaps 1, the Slats with deploy to the 'Extended' position, the inboard Kruger flaps will deploy to 'Full Extended'. It's the same for Flaps 2 and 5. However with the selection of Flaps 10 and beyond the Slats will travel to the 'Full Extended' position.

Not completely true. Depending on installed options the "full extent" position might be only available at flaps of greater than 25, ie only 30 and 40.

Yup, I had a sneaking suspicion that the SFP might be different. Like you said slats at Mid Ext until F30 or F40.
