Singapore Airlines retire the first A380 ever delivered

Singapore Airlines have retired the first A380 ever delivered (9V-SKA) after just 11 years. What's everyones thoughts on this and the future of the A380?

It's a great shame &, it doesn't seem to have one ! I can't see where the next order is going to come from.

Brendan Sobie, an analyst at CAPA Center for Aviation, expects Singapore Airlines to return all five of the early A380 jets in its fleet. “Their fleet plan and strategy has always been to replace those aircraft. Early model airplanes come with limitations and Singapore Airlines never wanted to be stuck with remarketing these five airplanes,” Mr. Sobie said.]

early whale models had wiring issues and wing cracks developed
no one wants them s/hand - good source of money in spares and engines

same with first 10 (i think) 787's that cannot be sold due development issues and build/performance problems
