Delays for East Africa flights today ?

I have some famlily flying out of Brussels for Entebbe today. Followed their progress on FR24 - they departed with a delay of almost 90 min.
I then noticed that KLM from AMS to Kigali, AMS to Kilimanjaro and BA from LHT to NBO were all 60-90 mins late.

It could be coincidential or are there some common cause for these delayed departures (air space restriction, extra tailwind causing too early arrival) ?

Just wondering.

Weather in UK, BRU & AMS today not the best with temp not much above freezing with some precipitation, so maybe aeroplane de-icing impacted schedules.

We had a 2 hour wait at AMS for remote de-icing at around lunch time. The place was a mess.

There was indeed de-icing going on at LHR yesterday AM, which could well have effected the BA flight.

I was on the BA064 return from NBO to LHR last night. The incoming flight arrived about an hour late into Nairobi but the turnaround was so efficient that we got away less than half an hour late and arrived Heathrow less than 20 minutes down.
