BE323 Aberdeen to Birmingham diverted London City? What's that about?

Was consulting FR24.com to check the a flight that I am just about to dash out to meet when I spotted this Dash Q400 crossing its path on a rather circuitous track!

Long way to divert?

Birmingham Airport's arrivals web page is under the impression that it landed at BHX 25 minutes ago.

Edit: And the gate has just closed for the return BE324 BHX-ABZ.

Yes I also consulted Birmingham Airport's arrivals web page whilst the long and circuitous jobbie was still in flight.

I dare suggest that Birmingham Airport's arrivals web page has been adjusted retrospective to the landing of whatever landed at LCY, because I saw two different delay lengths noted before I posted - I fancy one LTA at BHX said 1238 but unfortunately I didn't take a snapshot.

And as I write this, a search of BE323 still says G-PRPB diverted, and interestingly in last few minutes, Birmingham Airport's arrivals web page has conveniently forgotten BE323 existed!

You are right though, BE324 is almost back at Aberdeen according to the Track My Flight on flightstats.com, whilst FR24.com has it as "Unknown" with reg no. G-PRPB, but with nothing showing on their map currently.

Edit:
Aha ... So BE1362 LCY-ABZ just appeared from nowhere on approach to Aberdeen on FR24.com and it too is G-PRPB

Which results in this for a search of the recent antics of G-PRPB on FR24.com:

2017-02-06
BE324 Birmingham (BHX) Aberdeen (ABZ) 12:35 GMT - 14:00 GMT Unknown
2017-02-06
BE323 Aberdeen (ABZ) Birmingham (BHX) 10:35 GMT 10:50 12:05 GMT Diverted to LCY
2017-02-06
BE1362 London (LCY) Aberdeen (ABZ) 09:50 GMT 13:05 11:40 GMT Landed 14:26

Spooky ... or what ... answers on a postcard to Birmingham Airport's webmaster ... you could win a flight to er ... nowhere ?

And Spooky 2 ... PPRuNe's forum clock seems to have got ahead of itself also!

Are BE operating back and forth through wormholes with clones or are all the so-called online aircraft tracking services vulnerable to garbage data?

Or both.

Coventry seems to get a lot of scheduled flight movements on FR24. I believe it has an algorithm that tries to deduce, based on an aircraft's track, where it's about to land or has just taken off from.

It doesn't always get it right, particularly for takeoffs from 15 at BHX that turn left and head north ...
