May I ask the function/purpose of the triangular cluster of marble-size globes located on the central windscreen pillar of many civil aircraft. Thank you.

They are to guide the pilots into the correct seating position. Align the 2 balls for your seat et voila! Simples

A more personal use is made by your own equipment during full up elevator control check.
