Supersonic Airprox - outcome

A question for the amassed parish brains trust, for no other reason than my own idle curiosity.

Assume the following hypothetical situation ... a medium sized modern passenger jet aircraft has reached its top of climb and has settled into its cruise.

As it's progressing, a modern medium sized military fighter flying at supersonic speed passes across/ahead of its path, separated by less than 100ft both vertical and horizontal.

What effect would encountering the supersonic shock wave from the fighter have on the passenger aircraft, its engines and airframe?
