Concentrated Aviation History
Dropped by Blackbushe this afternoon as was a lovely sunny day. Always the chance of something interesting there and a great 'big sky' view when looking over the field. Turned out very worthwhile
Parked in front of the Tower was the epitome of todays sleekness in the form of a D Reg Citation Sovereign , while running up along side it was executive fransport of a very very bygone era in Hornet Moth G-ADMK, how old is that?
Moments later the moth departed and within 5 mins the distinctive twin radial sound of a C47 , invasion stripes and all, traced a leisurely path just to the east of the field .
Three planes from three very different eras and nice to see them all so close together anyone else had an impromptu little history 'tableau' like that lately -shows don't count of course.
That c47 was slow, must have been an eternity crossing the US on one of them
