Heathrow shadow
Just been wasting time at work looking at Google Earth, and found my way to Heathrow, and spotted a mystery shadow (eastern end of runway 09R).
Obviously the pic caught a take-off, shadow is very clear, but no sign of the actual aircraft anywhere that made it??

What you see on GE is a mosaic made up of images shot at different times. For example look just to the W of the Queen Mother Reservoir and you will see two aircraft that appear to be impossibly close together, for the same reason.

Thanx DaveReid that makes sense, I thought it might be something like that.
Yes I've now spotted the two aircraft near QM Reservoir, which are following remarkably closely! Suspiciously similar, so guess it's two shots of the same aircraft.
Or part of an unannounced trial to reduce separation on landings?
