Heathrow July 1st

In light of the continuing argument about "The Hottest Day" is there anyone here who was at Heathrow on July 1st this year, and if so could you confirm which direction was actually in use for landing and take-off in the afternoon (specifically after 14:00 BST). The wind (and the Met Office) suggest Easterly, but the "Heathrow Noise" Twitter Feed said they were using the more usual Westerly direction. Also did the normal 15:00 changeover take place?

Cheers, TFP.

Thanks, so their Twitter Feed was wrong! In light of this, which runway was used for take-offs and which for landing whilst on "Easterlies"?

Heathrow July 1st

I departed to CPH around 1630 that day and think we used 09R for departure.

As is normal on easterlies, all departures on July 1st were from 09R. Arrivals were mostly on 09L except for dual runways in use for landings in the 0600-0700 hour and about a dozen further 09R landings throughout the day.
