Curious diversion

I just saw a BA 737 approaching Biggin Hill and on checking it seems to be kosher, BA2759 from Amsterdam diverted to BQH from LGW. I wasn't aware that Biggin had become a viable alternative for Airliners. Anyone know why etc ?

Brymon used to use Biggin as a div for their T'Otters years ago.

Interesting, no mention/info on this yet in any of the places I'd expect to find it.

I take it you mean today's (4th) flight?

If it really happened and wasn't a weird quirk of FR it must have been urgent with Heathrow and Gatwick a few minutes away.

The track log on Flight Aware shows an approach to 08 at LGW looking at the co-ordinates.

BA saying it landed at LGW. Flightradar saying diverted to BQH. I'm sure BA would be mentioning if anything had happened.

Even FlightRadar24 shows the aircraft in question (G-DOCF) operating a Gatwick to Jersey service just over an hour after it supposedly landed at Biggin Hill.
