737 800 PMDG, RNAV questions!

Needing a little help and understanding of RNAV approaches. What are the 2 types of RNAV app? Is it -

1. RNP AR
2. RNAV (GNSS)

I have been reading the FCTM but it dates back to 2005!

Also if you have a VOR or NDB at the airport will you tune these freq on the NAV radios or the ADF and monitor raw data? Or is that no nescessary for RNAV?

Ok i like to add, why doesn't RNP AR require GPS? What would it use instead...

Also why can't you apply cold temp correction to RNP app? And what is BARO VNAV...

If temp < -15°C refer to FCOM for temperature altimeter corrections – N/A for RNP approaches.
