Air China CCA852 holding after departing LGW....

Air China CCA852 A330 holding between Haywards Heath and Bolney FL70 after departing LGW, been there at least 1/2 hr now - No emergency squawk, anyone know what's going on with it? Now heading due South, still at FL70 - Presumably to dump fuel before returning to LGW?

Now Squawking 7700....

CA852 LGW to Beijing 7700 Sqawk

Just seen this A332 having completed six or seven circuits at 7,000 ft over our garden, now headed out over the channel at 8,000 ft. Presently heading back towards Newhaven.

Any news from anyone in the know?

One apparent eyewitness on Twitter says rear gear down, front up whilst circling above Haywards Heath; flightradar24 had it at c.7000 feet. Now flying racetrack pattern at 8000 feet, 212 knots, south of Brighton.

Landed

Just landed into LGW safely. Air Maroc and Norwegian flight did a few circles around it to avoid.

Back down at Gatwick now, seems to be still on runway, airport seems closed to traffic for now.

Edit - and now seems to be clear of the runway.

On the ground at Gatwick. Appears to be taxiing back to active runway!
