Is this news? NZ's biggest newspaper thinks so!

Spectators Balcony (Spotters Corner) If you're not a professional pilot but want to discuss issues about the job, this is the best place to loiter. You won't be moved on by 'security' and there'll be plenty of experts to answer any questions.

Is this news? NZ's biggest newspaper thinks so!

It certainly makes the. NZ Herald look silly!
I think it might be a new low in journalism.

For some contrast, this is a CBC News report of an on board fire on a United 777 yesterday. The Herald needs to take some lessons.
A United Airlines flight from Newark to Brussels made an emergency landing at the Halifax airport Tuesday night after fire broke out on board.

Cpl. Angie Hawryluk with Halifax District RCMP says the fire was contained to the galley area of the aircraft. Crew members were able to put it out with the on board fire extinguisher before landing.

Airport authorities say the pilot made the decision to divert to Halifax. Cpl. Hawryluk says the emergency landing went smoothly and passengers were able to deplane normally.

The Halifax Stanfield Fire Crew are at the scene. No one was injured.

It climbed like a bloody blizzard
Interesting simile - do blizzards climb? Perhaps the chap actually said buzzard? We'll never know but always wonder...

And in other news today a car braked sharply when a rabbit ran across the road in front of it.

Obviously a slow news day.

Thumbs up

Brilliant, framer! Put it in neon and shove it up the editor's nose ... or other orifice if appropriate.
Then again, it could be a job for ... The Lazy Journalist's Plane Story Generator
