B747 question

On this video it seems that GoPro camera is mounted on the front gear. At about 2:42 the front bay opens the gear goes out but...



I expected the main gear will follow but it didn't, it stays retracted.

Is it a standard feature that a pilot can manipulate with the front and main gear separately?


I am struggling with posting the video here, so here is the link just in case...

B747 question

I believe these videos were made by a flight engineer on classics, and it was done by pulling (a) circuit breaker(s).

No circuit breakers pulled, the 747 has an alternate gear extension system that allows ops of independent gears, in this video the nose gear was extended via the Alternate system first then the main gear was extended later via the normal system later.
