BA LHR/LGW crews

Hi,

If you are a BA B777 pilot, do you operate from both Heathrow and Gatwick? As far as I can tell, this is the only aircraft type that BA use at both airports (correct me if I'm wrong), so I wondered whether crews rotate between both airports?

Thanks in advance
Nick

I do know that BA Airbus Pilots rotate between the two, so I am pretty much guessing yes, becuase Its London, but dont expect them to rotate between say Manchester and Gatwick, however Manchesters no longer a International base for BA.

Yes they do rotate between LHR and LGW, and no, MAN is not where trips for crew originate.

BA 777 Pilots tend to bid for trips. Some like the LGW routes others not so much so generally you will often see the same faces down in LGW. On a day they have a LGW or LHR trip they just report to whichever airport on the day!
