Short term contracts in China

Hi all,
I'm a 737 Captain in Europe in a permanent job. However I have a 6 month period coming up from November to April where I won't be flying. I'll be on a reduced salary and will come back to full time in the beginning of May. This is likely to happen every year. I am happy at my current job and don't want to leave.
I would like to top up the salary during these months and keep busy, so I was considering a contract in China. Does anyone know if there are any shorter term contracts available? I can't seem to find any on the usual websites.
Or would anyone here any have any other suggestion to work for a few months in China? As I said I'll probably be in the same position every year.
I've done a couple of expat jobs in the past and I've researched the China pilot life, so I know what I'm letting myself in for.

The hiring process can take almost one year, just too keep on mind...

Thanks, I might have to work towards Winter 18/19 then.. perhaps apply next Spring and hope the timing works out
...that's if I can find a suitable contract.

The line training can take almost have a year, just to keep in mind...
And it must be performed in full, even if you are only absent for some months...

I don't think China is an option for this sort of work.
Not-withstanding the effort and expense required for the recruitment and induction processes, Chinese companies expect their staff to be entirely devoted to the cause. The fact that you're moonlighting from another job is not a situation that would be looked on favourably.
I would say your chances in China for 6-monthly ad-hoc contracts is virtually zero.

I agree : no way. The system is designed for a full time fixed term contract. I have to add that China is slowly but progressively becoming a place where it is more difficult to complete all the recruiting process...restrictions on work permits, suspensions of recruiting for some airlines, more pressure on the screening of foreign captains...

Quite a few part time contracts available, but they tend to be month on-month off or 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off.
