Question NokScoot

Rumor has it that NokScoot is in major expansion mode, planning to add 7 B777s to it's current fleet of 3.

Does anyone have any info on T & C's, working conditions and company culture?

7 is major??

Going from 3 airplane to 10 is a growth rate of 333%. That sounds like major growth to me.

As I understand it.... can non Thai's fly for a Thai airline? I didn't think so. Is NokScoot different? Are they using a Singaporean authority, or not based at Don Mueng airport?

I am pretty sure there are Foreign Capt and FO's in N.S. I worked for a Thai Airline for 2 years 06 to 08. My CV etc has also just been accepted by a well known Thai Airline for consideration as well ( I am rated and current on the type they Operate). I would take a pay cut from my current job in M.E. though and My salary Taxed.
I dont work at NS so I have no idea of Pay and Roster.

I thought Nok Scoot were on HS registration? I stand to be corrected though.

In Malaysia Air Asia would not take Foreign FO's (DCAM Rule) yet recently I saw adverts for Both FO and Capt at Air Asia as well.

Nok (not NokScoot) currently has a number of non-Thai pilots.

Many of NokScoot pilots are SE asians pilots flying on a Thai validated license. I seen ads that they are currently recruiting foreign FO's and Capts. However, new aircraft delivery has been pushed back to March so there may be a delay there.....

Nok has about 10 foreign Capts on the NG (US, Serb, Dane, Brazilian, Spanish and even a Russian) and a few on the Q400 with more coming. (3 of the 10 on the NG were City Airways Capts who needed a gig after CA lost their AOC). But no more NG recruitment until 2017 it seems.

Thai Lion has around 30 non SE Asian Capts (mainly europeans & US) and around 40 Malay or Indo Capts. The total around half their Capt numbers.

New Gen and Siam Air obviously have foreign pilots too. Apparently Bangkok Airways is looking to recruit foreign Capts soon.

There are just not enough experienced Thai Capts to handle operators expansion plans.
