A-320 List of best type rating centres.
Hello guys,
As it's my first post on this forum please pardon me for any mistake if made. I hold a Indian CPL and now as it's been almost 3 years sitting idle w/o a job and looking at the current situation i have now decided to go for a A-320 type rating.
I have only heard good things for CAE as many of my friends have done it from there. I am here to get some information on other good type rating centre besides CAE.
What do you guys recommend?

In your situation it doesn't matter how good or bad the quality of training is, just the fact that in the end you have A320 written in your licence.
So go for the cheapest one.

...... and that my friend is why there are accidents in Low Cost airlines.
Under qualified , inexperienced people go for the cheapest training to get a job with any airline that will take them . Low cost just love these ' seat warmers'.
Next you get an Air Asis or AF accident and many incidents due to holes in the you pilots training , inexperience and a poor training system of the employer. Being Indian, I am sure that you would follow the advise in the above reply and get the cheapest signature in the Cert, even ( perhaps) if that was paying someone to just write out one. I know that this is not uncommon in your part of the world and this has done a dis -service to the many fine Indian pilots that I have encountered.
You suffer from equal amounts of desperation and laziness. Why does the new generation want to step out of flight school and straight into an airliner?
Do yourself and your future passengers a favour; get off your a-se, get yourself current,go into the world ( anywhere) and get some experience. When you have this , you may find an employer who will pay for your training . If not, you will at least have the experience to get something out of an endorsement( they don't teach everything in endorsement courses) and even the money saved to pay for it. Obviously waiting at home for 3 years for a job to come to you has not worked. Solution, go out and get the job. You know, having had to really work to get somewhere is what makes it satisfying. When I was in the position to employ people, even with the endorsement,you would not have even been shortlisted.

Go with CAE, Dubai. No doubt they are the best. I did my rating from there and trust me the training standards are really very very good.
I was planning for CTE, but this year they won't be coming up with any induction for external candidates thats why I went to CAE. FSTC guys will most probably send you to the another location (out of India) for your full flight simulator sessions.
If you are really willing to go I will suggest you CTE first then the CAE. But CTE will not come up with any external induction in 2016. So CAE will be best.

high power aviation in dallas, CAE dubai and C4U in berlin are the best ..... CTE wont be coming up with any batch this year as per my knowledge .

Try Flight training international in Denver.. they do A320 in Miami.. for 9K usd if you bring a friend..
I used them 3 times now never had any problems. good instructors etc..
Call them ask for Lynae Archuleta.

@JetJockey. The price you mentioned is for pilot with previous flight exprience.
His question was for A320 tye rating for a pilot with 200-250 hours with bare minimum 15 hours on multiengine aircraft (+10 on sim).
This is something unique to india

One of the best type rating centers is GAA aviation academy in Bahrain ,heard they offer recency hours also ,which is really helpful for type rating

hello,
i wanted to clarify if indigo accepts type rating from trto other than cae
coz it says on website "Maximum Age: 35yrs; Indian National with Indian DGCA issues CPLwith Multi Engine Instrument Rating Indian; only those candidates will be considered who add a self-sponsored A320 Endorsement in the License after they are short-listed through the joint IndiGo-CAE selection process."

A320 or 737
Hi all,
I need your opinion on getting a type rating.
Which one will you suggest A320 to 737, taking the present Indian scenario into consideration. I need your advice.
Any idea on the ratio of 320 rated pilots to 737 rated pilots ?
