Height Requirement for Pilots

I am just curious about the pilot height requirement in Airlines.

Are there cases where Airlines allow people to get in their company even if they do not meet the height requirement?

My friend is an inch short the minimum height requirement in Singapore Airlines, 5'4". Will this hinder my friend from applying in Singapore Airlines?

Can you also site cases not just in Singapore Airlines where they still hire people who do not meet the height requirement?

Thank you!

Different airlines will have different criteria, height included. Best to approach the actual airline for the definitive answer.

I know there are, but I am asking if you guys have encountered such. My friend is still starting to be a pilot, and would like to be part of an airline someday. I hope you understand what it means to get their hopes up and not contemplate or get afraid about height requirement. Thanks!

At my last airline, we had a female 737 captain who was 5ft 0 in. So it largely depends on the airline's policies. I have not yet seen any height limitations listed in any aircraft operating manual.

I had recently seen a job advert stating the applicant must be between 5'7" and 6'3"!
