which company in thailand ?

Hi,

I am not a pilot, but I just would like to have the opinion of professionals before choosing a company to go regularly from Bangkok to Hat Yai in Thailand.

Before, I only used the national company Thai airways, but now it has stopped its service to Hat Yai.

I then have to choose between:

- Thai air asia
- Thai smile
- Nok air

If someone could give me some information to guess what is the safest company between these three compagnies, I would really appreciate it !

Let me precise that I am only interested by safety issue (price and comfort are not a problem for me).

Thank you in advance,

belisbut

If you trust Thai Airways, you shall trust Thai smile also. Because both THAI and Thai smile use the same professors to recruit their pilots and shared maintenance team.

Nok air also use THAI maintenance team.

Thank you very much for your answer!

Concerning Thai smile, I was considering to fly regularly with them, because of their close relationship with Thai airways. But, I still have some difficulties to find precise informations on their own safety standarts.

E.g. I know that Thai smile pilots might have different contracts than Thai airways pilots. Hence, I was wondering how this very young airline has arrived to attract sufficiently experienced pilots in a so short time? (I mean if no experienced Thai airways pilots work for them?)

Also, I usually like to try to fly with companies having some kind of international safety audits. This helps some non-professional guy like me to trust in an airline. In the case of Thai smile, I do not know whether they have their own international safety audit? (I mean independently of Thai airways?)

Once again thank you very much for your fast answer and help that I really appreciate!

This is what you're looking for, IOSA. IATA - IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA)

And this is the registry of airlines that comply with IOSA.

Good luck!

Thank you guies for your help, I finally took Thai airasia after having required some info on the safey of the different thai airlines on the website JACDEC.

I am not sure that this website gives serious safety analysis, but it seems to be one of the only enterprise providing such service for world travellers.

That is probably a pity, since such kind of enterprise would be very helpful to choose airlines for domestic trips in countries far from our own native country (so that we usually do not know anything about the different airlines in such countries)!

In any case thank you again for your advice and help and good luck!
