Training bond looks to be for non type rated guys.
I am type rated, current, have valid PPC and line check, still need to sign bond?
What is your relation to CP,you can answer to me by PM,if feel it's better.

They will require a "training contract" or whatever they decide to call it this week. In essence it's just a way to keep you working there once you figure out how screwed up the place is. They will have you give them 36 signed and predated checks (amount of contract divided by 36) and as long as you work, each year they will destroy 12 checks. Decide to leave and they will cash the remaining checks.

Unless you like ridiculous schedules, less than 8 days off a month, living and working in Manila where a 5Km commute could take 2+ hours each way, locals who hate the fact you work there and management with IQ's lower than their shoe size, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Go there and you'll find out why so many expats (and locals) have fled.

I never have worked in the Philippines, but I work with them, and I have to echo some of the above statements.

If you are set with working there, go right ahead.

Before you go, be sure to take enough money to live on for 6 months, as well as enough money to pay for you medicals, CAAP conversion, work permit, etc. Also keep enough money handy to get a ticket back home. Oh, and bring your own uniforms as CP will promise to provide for you but never will produce.

Keep in mind you will be made lots of promises, only to find out once there you will hear "Sorry Sir, but you don't understand".

If you do this, please get back to us in 3 to 6 months and tell us your experience.

I will have contract with recruitment agency, not a direct with CP.
All they promise provides by agency,I think it is better.
Ok,but any way thanks for your opinion. I will write here my impression,as soon as I get them,if any

By the way, the last set of contractors had contracts as well. Then one day without warning CP called them in and told them their contracts were being terminated and if they still wanted to work there, they could convert to "local terms" (half the pay and sign 3 year bond).

They all walked away. And BTW, when they left they also didn't receive all of their pay that they worked for. Like I said, take enough money to live on and be ready to buy a plane ticket out.

And enjoy "training" which amounts to have an ignorant local screaming and ranting in the back of the sim. And being a contractor making more than the locals, be prepared to be racked over the coals.

Honestly, there are better places to work.

I think they have enough local guys coming throughout PAAT, so don't need any of us expats right now. Things may change or may not! Don't get your hopes up!!
