Aero Lanka

Dear all,

has anybody heard of this company "Aero Lanka" ? I'm trying to find ouf if it is a real company and what the working conditions are. I know the google stuff, it's supposed to be a leasing company etc, but it was strange that the name isn't even mentioned on PPRuNe. Hence my question.

(I asked it in the Africa forum as well, but apparently they have/had more business in Asia).

Thanks,

I suppose that 45K US dollars are too much for a 737-200 type rating... they offer you a one year contract.... and then? after one year.... what is your work possibilities around the world with that type rating?

Siul

is not possible to do a conversion from 737/200 to 737/300-900 or NG beacause they are 2 different type ratings.

Thumbs down Aero Lanka

Owner is Nathan Sivarasa. Great Guy - a real gentleman. Old Nathan has never cheated anyone. Never abandons his crews in desolate locations, never takes deposits and then runs away with the clients money. That is why he's hiding in Sri Lanka.

Aero Lanka

Aero Lanka is a private company with offices located in Ratmalana and Katunyaka, Sri Lanka. They have one Boeing 727 cargo at the moment after they sold the HS748 few months back. 727 is piloted by indians. Heard that they have plans to bring down another classic into the fleet.

Feedback, I get from prev. employees are not that good. Nevertheless, the company had been contributing to Aviation scene for quite some time.

Air linkers, aero Lanka

Stay away from this guy. He takes 30-65k from Indian students with 200 hours gives them an illegal ground school and sends you home to wait. There are 30-40 Indians waiting for a job after paying that kind of money.
He just contracted me to teach such a course for $5500 which he paid me half and will not pay the balance. This is a Hugh scam!
