100 LL PRICE HIKE BY 50%

With effect from 1st April govt has increased 100LL by 50%.

Flying school in India has raised their rental rates. Flying school have taken this up with government of India

I recently requested a recency package from Chimes aviation with hiked prices rental for c172 has gone up to Rs12500/hr . Total price for single recency in India 21hours flight time will cost Rs322389 including 12.34 %tax. This is almost 30% price hike I was quoted in month of March.
They have not finalized price for multi engine but told me to expect around Rs35000inr.

Similarly MPFC (Madhya Pradesh flying club) has increased rates C152 previously from Rs7600 to Rs8600 and C172 Rs8200 to Rs9700.
This is going to be heavy on pockets for us whom have to carry out skill test in India and student pursuing CPL from India itself.

too bad there is no trade body that can push the govt to reconsider this or allow foreign FTIs to conduct these recency checks.

From Moneycontrol
Quote:
The three fuel retailers - IOC, Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum - revise jet fuel prices on the 1st and 16th of every month, based on the average international price in the preceding fortnight.
From Business Standard
Quote:
Oil fell a second day after the first international talks in 15 months on Iran’s nuclear programme yielded an agreement to reconvene in May.
This will ease the Brent and India will be the biggest beneficiary. India has already passed China as the biggest Iranian oil importer.

Meanwhile someone is trying to reduce their dependency on 'Natural Resources'. Cooking oil powers Qantas aircraft Video. I guess we would be more than happy to contribute to this research as guinea pigs by using biofuels for 'recency' flying requirements.
