You got to be kidding me. It's just another rumour, buddy. This can't be happening. Just don't think about all this nonsense. Do well in the exam.

oh boy, my first airline written test (delayed by 1.5 hours, 350+ candidates and a fee of Rs.25000 each) - what a stunner! i'd say there were a lot of questions from aerodynamics. questions repeated will not be accounted for. absolutely nothing from radio nav aids, meteorology (maybe just one question), human performance and REGULATIONS! what kind of an airline test was this. i'm completely gutted. even if i were to do very well in this test, i doubt the transparency of their recruitment process. i was so disappointed that I can't even recall most of the questions. i think the results will be out in another 10 days or so. good luck to you guys. i'm out!

Scam or not a scam now thats the only question!

Hey Guys,

Questions I remember from the exam..

- Reason for Sweep back of 30 - 35 degrees
- QDM / QDR RMI problem
- Gyro transport wander at 45 N
- Aircraft approach speed category ' C '
- Payload problem in tonnes
- 2 problems on basic understanding of CP / PNR
- Basic aerodynamics - CP movement along an aerofoil
- Effect of Temprature of V1, Vr, Vlof
- Where is EGT measured in a gas turbine engine?
- What fog is caused from a cold mass of air over a warm surface?
- Factors affecting range in a VOR
- What does TKE in INS means?
- Iso - echoes on an AWR

Cannot recollect anymore questions, ill post some more if i remember.

Reference books - it seemed that the GSP series and Keith Williams performance were used to structure the paper.

The fact that they repeated about 5 - 8 questions shows they are not capable of ctrl C and ctrl V.

I feel the exam was not hard and I reckon there is a motive behind it in some way.

Hope the questions help...

But what baffled me was the fact that spice jet allows corrections on the answer paper. Their instructions were simple - "please darken your wrong answer and cross the correct one; you are allowed a maximum of one correction" - freaking outrageous!!

The answer sheet which were provided cannot be checked by a computerized system.

They will have to check it manually each and every 60 Q/A , and that around 300-400 of answer papers to check its gonna take them a long time.

And if the results are out very early then its obvious that the papers were never checked and just dumped after the exam got over.

Anyways good luck to all of you.

@mkav

Transport Drift =
Rate of change of longitude in degrees per hour X sin latitude degree per hour

@fly.low I dont think its possible to calculate without GS given or rate of change of longitude given.

as far as I know, that particular question had insufficient data.

anyway, the news is out, I assume SpiceJet has been ringing up a few candidates. A friend of mine in Mumbai told me today that he got a call from the HR dept. an hour ago. the conversation went on for about 10-15 minutes. They told him that he has successfully passed the written exam and will be notified of the date for the final technical + personal interview in Gurgaon.

Did anyone else get the good news?
