If you have the choice, avoid schools from Philippines in general.

Florida is good. Try to find out about a few more schools though. There is Phoenix East, Epic, FFTC, ATP, Sunrise. Tailwinds...

Heard Dean is good too. (No personal experience with them though)

Embry Riddle is good, though a lot more expensive.

I wish that too.
take that advise seriously too.

Gondia and Chimes could also be considered.

I suggest join CAE Gondia and register for the INDIGO LOI program! that way you dont have to kill yourself lookin for a job etc!

Also before getting into this be conscious of the costs involved!
anything between 25-45 lacks!

Dean Intl is a great little school, airport is good, some congested airspace some days but its good training, and its perfect exposure with the weather which will be a good primer for India. Go to Dean Intl is my vote.

Thanks Guys

Thanks for your opinion Guys.... but shelling out 45 Lakhs for CAE Indigo program is not a good option now. I will invest only when there is a job assurance. God alone knows what loopholes are there It shouldn't be like KF, guys done their TR and sitting duck Also I'll have an option to join charters and get the appropriate Rating.
For Igrua..... i have already done 50Hrs of flying clrd DGCA NAV,MET,REG,C-172,RTR, FRTOL and Class1 med. So far spent close to 7 Lakhs for flying, I have to start from scratch and fly for 200Hrs in Igrua in which i loose out my 7lakhs just for nothing same case in CAE. So now my only option is to fly abroad do the basic flying and get back and convert!!!!!!!!!!
Any other suggestions Welcome.......

I am associated with flyfast..they are a great school..very professional and genuine with their rates too.
I would suggest you to prefer US over any other country. and since you already have few hours, try to contact the schools listed above and get a personalized quote for yourself first. then, you might want to go with one of them if you find the package affordable and profitable as well. also try to contact any alumni or current student of the school first before taking your steps.

if you find the US schools expensive or you don't feel like joining them for some reason, and if Philippines comes next in your preference order, then definitely flyfast is the option. there is another school named Aviatour. they are great, but they will delay with the paper work since they are not based in the capital. apart from that, they are little more expensive as well.

flyfast is good, and i should suggest you 2 important things - first, try to negotiate them a dozen times over your training fees, i bet if you are good at your talking and bargaining you might earn good discounts. second, don't don't don't fall into the nets of any agent or middlemen. try to contact the school direct. many students in philippines get cheated by such people and end up spending lot more.

if you want more info about flyfast or philippines, PM me. all the best.

from Gleim's book.. (an instructor once told me that they even get their ATPl questions from that book.)

and anyways, they never change the question papers. so once you are not through in the first shot, at least by then you know what questions they would ask you.

all the best.

@OP

U have already cleared the DGCA papers, Smart move, most of the guys run away from India coz they can not clear DGCA papers.

Go to USA if U can get the Visa,.......
Trust me, the flying experience that U will get is nothing like India, the airspace is just amazing....... U can go to a Class B or C airport, Fly in a 172, Land behind a DC-9 & 737 is following you........

Never let your instructor log anything.... If U do real flying, training in USA will make U a lot better pilot in general.....

Make sure, when U come back to india, U have a total of 200 hrs PIC, so U can do an instructors rating in India.

Do your CFI in USA, what U will learn in your CFI training in USA in 30 days, U will never learn in 3 yrs in India.

The reason I can tell U this is that I have seen both sides of the world on a variety of levels.....

Whether U go to Dean in Miami or Phoenix East in Daytona, phoenix will be more expensive but much better quality.....

Don't waste your 45 lacs........

Rest Up to you.. If U need more help, let me know PM me....

Pilotbaba... what do you mean by this:
"Never let your instructor log anything.... "

They have to log flight hours too, and must legally... maybe you are missing a word in that sentence that will give it meaning....maybe you mean dont let them fill in your logbook for you... ?

What I meant was NEVER ALLOW TO LOG ANY BOGUS FLYING OR OVER LOG..........

Of course LOG what is rightfully yours, even it is 1 minute.......

Choose your flight school very carefully in USA...... The cheapest may not always be the best....

Avoid Dean

Before you consider Dean, check here. Home - Dean International Flight School @ Kendal Tamiami Airport Miami Fl

There are other great schools in Miami without all the problems.. Check out Silver Express and ADF airways at Tamiami Tamiami or Wayman at Opalocka Airport
