Hi there,

I'm looking fro informations about Transasia Airways in Taiwan; found nothing more than a Wiki page and a file on PCC site..

Any news about recruitments? As expat, only CPTs or even F/Os are welcome too?

To be more precise, not hiring expatriate pilots this year. With one A330 coming in Nov 2012 and another one Jan 2013, plus new A321s from 2014, Transasia will hire expat A320 and A330 pilots starting from next year, but sorry, capt only.

How do I know? Simple, I work for them.

No hiring of expats for ATR fleet. Only A320 Capt in near future.

6 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Bonus after finishing 3 years of contract, friendly people, around 10K per month. As to detail, check with Rishworth.

So what are the medicals like, reasonable or is it Chinese style

I would say close to Chinese style. The initial one takes two days, after that, you can finish it in half day. Blood test, urine test, treadmill, etc.

Hi there,
I wonder if it's a good place to start a expat life. Worked 23 yrs for the same airline and went bust.
I mean in terms of high schools, homes.
About the managment are they like mainland chinese or it could be compared with HKG operating companies with western managment?
Should I ask Rishwoth would they tell me the truth?
Is there anything I should know before applying??
Better I do the job now or deal with my wife later!
