I think Cyril training has been done in the world busiest general aviation airspace.
General Aviation is more prone to accidents compared to jets

Riddle Pilots are put through air force training because of our AFROTC Program. Send all the cadets of IGRUA and NFTI vs ERAU, Flight Safety, Sabeena Academy, and UND and I guarantee you - we will beat them (IGRUA and NFTI) in all aspects - Knowledge and Flying.

Bring it on!

then why dont you go and work over there.......India doesn't have class A and B.....there is noo need for you to fly in india then......

we dont want to compete with anyother cheap institute because we know we are the best ,and one more thing keep Sabena aside because it belongs to CAE Global Academy...."WE ARE IN SAFE HANDS''

@ tarmac

I have seen idiots in states,ME, India ,including nfti.
if we are idiots then why do the airlines come here for their pilot induction........like IGRUA..
lolz you dont even know whats goin on at your back...you guys just sit home thinking there is noo joob

If you really think you are that smart then why dont you convert your FAA licence to JAA or EASA.....it will give you much preference....i am not doing the same because i know where i'll be standing withing next few months.

Thumbs up

Alright guys I think everyone has put their thoughts here and bragged enough about their skills and how good their schools are.

But as a matter of fact everyone of us is aspiring for that seat in a jet cockpit, which is a two crew or a multi crew cockpit. So if there is someone less competent on the right seat then it is our duty to help them to come up to a good level of knowledge and skill, in order to evenly distribute the workload and have a good coordination inside the cockpit.. coz if the plane is crashing it's taking either of the pilots along and not just the one who has not done his flying from igrua nfti or USA or whatever, the airplane doesnt discriminate!

It would be great if the discussion ends here and everyone of us spends more time in being learned, aware and helpful rather than discussing whose the best.

Cheers

@LOFT

I didnt intend for this thread to keep bragging about whose skills are better than the other...
The main intention is to clear misconceptions IGRUA / NFTI students have about those who learned to fly outside India .

I learned a few things about them and accept the same

However they seem to stick to their attitude that one bad pilot from FAA / Canada / Australia represents everyone who comes from there

we dont want to compete with anyother cheap institute because we know we are the best ,and one more thing keep Sabena aside because it belongs to CAE Global Academy...."WE ARE IN SAFE HANDS''
Well surprise Sabena dosent do anything different that other part 141 schools in the United States other than the fact that CAE bought them

Now about what going on behind our backs...

We are quite aware of it thank you

We are talking about India where corruption is rampant from top to bottom.

Same goes for the recruitment in the airlines where backdoor entries have been going on for quite sometime irrespective of whether you come from IGRUA / FAA / Canada or even phillipines

I'd rather earn my way to a flying job rather than get it on the basis of who you know

Everyone knows that AI and IC come for recruitment to IGRUA even when there are thousands of other pilots more experienced and qualified than a 200 hour cpl holder

AI should have given those 777 jobs to pilots within IC who are on the A320 or to pilots of other airlines who are flying ATR or Embraer and want a change of flying jobs.

They should have recruited the paramount airways pilots who have plenty of Jet experience instead of wannabe pilots without any experience at all.

Now about JAA License .
Well here's a shocker

Most of the flying schools in Europe send their candidates to the U.S or australia or New Zealand for the flight training part
Even the JAA CPL checkride is done in the U.S

The only thing they do back in europe is write the 14 ATPL subjects and fly for 15 hrs in european airspace

A JAA license is only preferred by certain countries that follow the JAA rules word for word for eg: Middle East
Except in Saudi Arabia they prefer FAA licenses

Anyway thanks for contributing to these posts

To all those who came from IGRUA and NFTI...

Good Luck for your future career with Air India Ltd
Hope you get the 777

It's a useless argument buddy. How many misconceptions are you planning to treat, how many igrua nfti pilots are reading this forum, only a handful. What about the next batch that comes out, and the next , and the next!!!

There are idiots in every organizations just like there are some bright sparks too. So to hold a discussion for changing the views of some dimwits on a thread out here on an international pilot forum makes no sense whatsoever.

But what we can do is, share our knowledge and post some stuff which could benefit the pilot community and make the skies safer. And I am sure everyone of us learns something new everyday and has something good to contribute, so share that.

Coz during the course of time each one of us will get employed, whether we are best or not. And someday our loved ones, may be parents, sisters, brothers, friends will end up in an aircraft flown by the very same pilots whom we are considering less competent at this stage. so what can we do to try and make sure that their flights remain uneventful. Helping others learn from what we know is the least we can do to improve safety of not just ours but of everyone around us.

So guys help your fellow pilots in whatever way you can, it's a small community and let's try to stand together as one, rather than looking down on others!

Cheers

@ planeboy

you may be technically very sound but nothing kills a pilot more than bad CRM skills.
make you instructor read your post.. he would have lot of thinking to do.

This isn't even worth debating, I mean, every country has it's own ways of training and testing of cadets. And at the end of the day, most of us here are aspiring to have in Indian license, so what difference does it make as to which flight school is better.
There are bad flight schools and good flight schools, and we have both in India and outside. It's our knowledge and flying skills which eventually make us different and better that others, not to which flight school we went to.
