Looks like another FTO has jumped onto the MPL bandwagon. SFC has been A very reputable FTO but that's been in their CPL/IR training. Let's see how the MPL comes along.

Don't bother trying, it's a scam. Try another career...

Hi everyone,

It seems this thread has gone awfully quiet lately.
Is tiger not recruiting right now? I'm quite interested in applying, but I would like to know how is the mood in the company at this moment. If anyone working there could share their inside, it would be much appreciated.
I'm looking at DEC position.
I have a good idea of the remuneration they offer but I would like to know if the roster is a fix 5/4-4/2 and how many vacation days you get a year. Also if someone can share how is the flying (night flights, long/short sectors, fuel policy, etc).
Thank you all in advance.

DEC as in Direct Entry Captain? Or Direct Entry Cadet? The cadet intake might be slowed down for the timebeing I guess; in light of the recent news regarding Changi's congestion issues and their aim to limit aircraft orders. If you're talking about entering as a captain, I think you should face no issues.

my friends flying inside told me they fly 5/2,5/4,5/5 and repeat the cycle sth like tt. Total number of off days I cant quite answer that. Cadet entry is closed atm, was successful in screening but they postponed the intake probably to eoy or next year.

Sad to see they stopped getting new planes.
How is it looking for experienced captains? Are they still recruiting or nobody is leaving the company at the moment?

Yes in fact you do, but it's under a very special scheme where you have to work at one of the various establishments provided in the Moorabbin area such as DFO, Southland, Bunnings warehouse, or the best job of all, the fry cook at Wing's cafe.

Is Tigerair Singapore really recruiting at the moment, as per what's written on their website? Or they just haven't been bothered to update their website?

The Tigerair Manadala website still show that they're recruiting pilots despite closing shop 6 months ago!

Nope total hiring freeze till 2017, quietly hiring through their MPL program, and a huge amount of low hour local pilots in their waiting pool.
