Exclamation Salary/conditions Thai Airways

I was looking for anyone who can give me more information about Thai Airways. I cant find anything about salary payment and working conditions. How many days on/off?

What is the salary for an FO?

any information would be appreciated.

What kwaiyai said is true. Can jwe explain, what do you mean by \"but that doest count in this one\"?Most Thai airlines employs their own citizens. I have met a farang married with a Thai. Can\'t land a flying job there.

For a F/O the salary is around 80.000 bahts a month. If they pass 82.000 a month (or 1.000.000 bahts a year ) then the IRS comes and take 30% of the salary, so usually is not more than that.

As for the roster, around 80 hours a month, one month holiday (around that, no sure exactly) and nothing else really, staff travel and a small pension if you retire with them (around 15.000 bahts a month, but this figure could be totally wrong).

After a F/O passes the assesment he/she has to attend the Thai Airways Flight Academy where he will relearn the ATPL subjects. After passing this (around one year, I think) and depending on the experience he/she will be either a S/O in widebody (777/747, 340/330) or F/O in 737, following there after the seniority for fleet transfers and upgrades.

I used to fly in Thailand sometime ago (for a thai airline), that is why I know some of the T&C's. But, BUT, TG is a quite closed company for foreigners so what I hear and what I was told (which is what I'm writing here) could be totally mistaken/not updated/not even close to reality, so don't discard any other info you may hear.

And yes, no foreigners are allowed (an no female pilots either, even nationals ).

Sawatdeepimai na krap!

As far as I know, nowadays the Thai DCA won't give you any validation to fly a HS aircraft. Period. No matter how bad a Thai company may want to hire you.

^^^Not soo sure about my opportunity thought...I have not served in the military nor took the reservist training because I have not live in Thailand.

I will graduate with lots of debt but I have good opportunity in Canada...I can join the airforce but will see how the industry goes, right now I wanna know as much as possible

By the way, by recomendation, you mean someone who can referal me in? Ive bee talking to a guy(pilot) who works for Bangkok Airways and he told me to apply and see how far it goes...he also told me that I could become FO on the ATR or 320 with ~200 hours if they accept me......somone please enlighten me on this?

Went into Crystal Thai last week to check it out - Seems they will type rate you if youre Thai and have 1500 hrs total. 1 A320 and getting an A330....Apparantely! The girls werent too sure if they were going to take any foreigners.
Although it appears to perhaps be another "mushroom" growing in the forest... We all know what happens to them.
Cheers
