Any Expat F/O at Jetstar Asia?

Hello.

I was just wondering if there is any expat F/O at Jetstar Asia.
Do they take anybody from outside? If they do, what are their minimums?

Thanks in advance!

oryxx,

Thanks for the reply.

Do you happen to know what their minimum requirements are to get in?

For T&Cs, I got some idea by reading other's posts.

Once again, thanks for the info!

Hi Mates. I assume that they are looking for a320 on type guys on Left and right seat.as long as you have it current. should be no problem to get it. Basically. you will get paid by hours, Now most FO fly around 85-90. so might get around 8500-9000 SGD. good month could get up to 10000SGD,
But very tiring, Housing , Transporting ,education, like most of LLC. is from your own Pay check.
I would say. they try to keep a "GOOD" standard, because all operation data and system all monitored by Qantas, so you will get partial Qantas staff travel privilege
few more a320 and a330 are coming. so i guess they are still looking for some good mates

The figures quoted for FO above (8500-10000 per month) - what sort of quality of living in Singapore would that provide for?

One last q.

Any chance to get in without any A320 experience? or is that a "must"?

can someone shed some light on the above figures, confirm or deny. Is that the basic salary? what about extras and allowances (if any), is that enough for a decent living and get your cold beer after the work??

if you have a family and want to live like a westerner, plan to spend SD$8500+ per month. If you have secondary school aged children, best plan on private education as the government schools will be reluctant to take non-mandarin speaking students as it lowers there result performance statistics and so their funding. Good luck.

Indeed, I know 2 FO there who continued their careers after retirement in Europe. One is 65 and the other is 67 - its great to see them both still flying and being supported to continue flying and sharing the knowledge. There feedback is also very positive by the way regarding the airline

Jetstar pays better but I dont think they do as many hours as Tiger. Jetstar Asia also pays more than the JQ in AU and NZ.
